Are Ranks of Shooters Growing or Shrinking?

I’m sure the ranks are growing or shrinking differently in different areas of the country. Anti gun states like California or Massachusetts aren’t the place where you’ll find growing numbers of new shooters or hunters participating in anything evil gun related. In states like Texas, Arizona, Florida and more I do think new shooters are joining the ranks in several different disciplines. I try and introduce one or two young people to hunting every year and most of them have latched onto it finding it to be a very positive life experience, including learning how to shoot and some even want to learn reloading. All of us with some experience in competition firearm platforms or hunting have the opportunity to introduce new shooters and hunters to the hobby we all appreciate and love if we take the time to make an invite and have the patience to include someone new.

Good day,

Are boys still impressed by how well they can hit a target? Do the tools to do so interest them? Girls and boys do well if they can overcome the monotomy of a high level of performance, it seems to be tougher (less boring) for the girls. It can be easier if you're pushing to a natural inclination.

I support anyone who wishes to learn to shoot, and shoot well. Shotgun, rifle, pistol, air rifle, archery, etc. It all takes practice, being able to show what makes it fun is the hard part.

Not stereotyping,

Are you saying there are no shortages of components?

???
I don't know, I went to two stores on my way back from the VA hospital, I have a significant inventory so I'll stop by and buy replacement materials as I schedule to load. What I saw was the primers I use, the powders I use and the projectiles I use in ample quantities.

I use large and small rifle and pistol primers, magnum small rifle primers. In pistol I load for 38, 44 magnum, 9mm, 357 Sig, 45 ACP. Rifle, 223, 6mm ARC, 6MM Remington, 308, 30-06, 444 Marlin, 450 Marlin, 30 Carbine, 358 Norma magnum and 6.5 x 55.

The variety of powders is fairly significant but I can get all I need when I need it. Now my volumes are lower than those who compete.

The same investment companies that have taken over all the major retail stores that are promoting the "woke" agenda are the same ones that own the entire manufacturing base for ammunition in this country.
so vista outdoors owns ALL the retail stores and their business model is to go belly up and close all their businesses, Boy I see what you mean, that's a great way to make $, I'm sure the share holders are thrilled.

It's very obvious that these new orders coming from Black Rock and their ilk don't care if the companies lose money. They've already proven that with Target and Budweiser.

It's not about money. It's about a total takeover. They make the money they don't care about money.

So I ask you. These companies are leading a "woke" crusade against American families, and you don't think they would be anti-gun? Seriously?

People need to wake up to what's happening. Because it's happening... it's already happened.

So what are they waiting for, if they own everything and don't care if they lose money, why don't they just close everything? no law says the can't. Monday morning they could just announce everything is closed.

Let's wait for the investor lawsuits, Target had a suit filed against it a month or so ago.

They rather slow it to a trickle to save a civil disturbance.

what we're going to riot in the streets if they close their doors? half the people on this forum still believe Biden SR. didn't take any money from Hunter, Russians, Chinese, Ukrainians, ETC, ETC
I agree with you, but that is the keep it out of sight-out of mind thing. Not having groceries to buy or ammo for their firearms is going to make it personal.

Black Rock as of this date is the largest asset manager in the world,
handling over 8.5 Trillion on the monetary side.....Capitalism with no
boundary's !!

There has been a steady decline in Across the Course comps since the late 90's to early 2000's. F Class seems to have held steady or possibly slightly increased. Shotgun appears to grow then decrease then grow again. PRS is growing. 3 gun kind of like shotgun. My take on the whole situation is- With the majority of shooters having grey hair it is not hard to see the outcome. I have posted before we have to get the youth interested and participating or we will be our own demise.

While it has nothing to do with the availability of supplies, based on my experience of participating in my first ever bench rest match (factory rifle class), that community needs to do a MUCH better job of welcoming new competitors. I know I won’t be back.
You have a PM. WD

They certainly could. Since they own UPS and FedEx both and have controlling interest they could certainly just say that unless you're one of their companies that they also have interest in you're not allowed to use their service anymore for any firearms business. Just as an example.
