The gaudy Liberace style guns chambered in smoking fast belted cartridges brought Weatherby to the dance and I’ll bet many folks here secretly want one (color me guilty). That said, Roy’s grandson is doing a great job of expanding the brand’s identity. The decidedly “non-Weatherby” design of the 6.5 RPM cartridge is a perfect example. As long as Weatherby doesn’t turn it’s back on their core customer base I see the unconventional product additions as a total plus. They're also using common cartridges as well, almost seems the son is trying to revamp the name.
Do you know what the relation is between 6.5 RPM and 6.5 PRC ??? Is it just the shoulder? The decidedly “non-Weatherby” design of the 6.5 RPM cartridge is a perfect example.
Seems that 6.5 RPM is their big push now, was unclear to me if that was somehow related to PRC, but evidently not. Thanks for answering that.6.5 RPM and 6.5 PRC are nothing alike.

Totally understand it’s a typo, but dang THAT’S FUNNY!That's the whore reason for joining this forum
Agreed on both pointsI wish they would have done it in 3 lug rather than the two. I will still try one more than likely so I have one with Sheridan Wy on it.
When I lived in Montana and when I hunted, I fixed and sold enough used cars to buy a new 257 Weatherby ( which I still have)The gaudy Liberace style guns chambered in smoking fast belted cartridges brought Weatherby to the dance and I’ll bet many folks here secretly want one (color me guilty).
I didn't even see it, I just read it like I'm sure he intended it.Totally understand it’s a typo, but dang THAT’S FUNNY!
