1 MOA Guarantee

I have been saying this for some time. Since this gentleman is or was an attorney I thought it might carry more weight than my rants about liars and never seeing a factory rifle with factory ammo achieve this at the range or in competition! Cheer's

I bought a Christensen Arms MPR last year in .308 and could not get it to shoot under 2" at 100 yards with any factory ammo or even hand loads. After some back and forth with CA they finally sent me an RA and it just got a new barrel, bolt and brake installed, here are the first 5 groups shot out of it with Federal GMM 168 SMK's...

I can consistently shoot under 1moa with my custom shop RPR and it's not even difficult to do so. It feels like cheating sometimes. It's not a hunting rifle, but it is a factory off the shelf rifle

However, I also have a Howa 1500 Oryx, which has a sub moa guarantee, and I struggle to get 1moa with that thing.

FWIW, I've always understood that - unless otherwise guaranteed -factory hunting rifles are 2 MOA rifles.
If there is a guarantee, I've taken it that it means some ammo will shoot the guaranteed MOA for at least one group - i.e., not that every group will meet the guaranteed MOA.

I have owned several factory Savages as deer hunting rifles. They all shot 1moa or better.

The Indy factory Savage I have left is a bmag. It will shoot .5 moa.
I've heard so many people say that yet the 3 I had never would. Never seen one at the range either.

Guess I'm just the unluckiest guy ever.

I eventually figured my 3 out. One in .308 the bore was .002" larger at the muzzle than the chamber. One in .243 had an oversized chamber and would only shoot necksized brass accurately and one in .223 the action was rubbing bright contact marks on the stock pillars.

I guess if you don't mind projects they're fine.

I'd like to see one for myself. Factory rifle and Factory ammunition. 5 shot group. 3 different days. 1" at 100yds.

Should be a piece of cake based on what I read.

Wish I still had a private range. I'd offer $500 to anyone who could do it and I'd feed them and give them a comfortable sleeping spot for the 3 days. You mess it up once you're done though. After all, it's easy according to the lore.

I have quite a few friends that have rifles that will shoot sub MOA. Although when I go shooting with them they shoot closer to 2 MOA. One friend carries around a wallet group that is appx 1/2 MOA I 've tried to explain to him that those three shots are all fliers that just randomly grouped like that. Regular factory rifles with factory ammo lends me to side with the video, although I am certain that there a good percentage of factory rifles that are capable of MOA but with good hand loads that the rifle likes. JMO

I figured my comment would strike up the band, and yep it did LOL
so maybe now this is the “FUN page”
I guess the sad faces are people with custom built that have hard time doing it
