5.56 brass with tiny flash holes?

US Secret Service at one point was issued sterile ammo. I am not sure if this is still the case. I have seen sterile 7.62x51 Nato rounds of Israeli origin. Neat stuff.
Never heard of that before. Sounds like that would make somebody a sitting duck.

PPU has a small flash hole. Use a Lyman uniformer. Just takes a second or two to insert. Probably makes the nicest bevel outta lots of different brass i.e. Win, PMC , Federal, ADI etc. It is good brass.

RCBS 223 FL die has a small de-capping pin. I would resize assorted 223 /5.56 brass for blasting fun, and came across some tight flash-holes.

Make sure your de-capping pin / expander ball is still centered. I have many extra de-capping pins in case one breaks/bends from an off-center flash-hole. I also had to re-bend a stem because it bent at one point from an off-center flash-hole. After changing the de-capping pin I marked the side closest to the die wall.. put it in a vice and used a round hollow rod to bend it back into center. Took many tries of screwing back in the die, then unscrewing it to put back into the vice and bending a little at a time.

Now I sort the brass by head stamp after tumbling/cleaning and just do each kind of headstamp separately.

Not 5.56 but I've got too many flash holes. Too much slop and pin protrusion, might need to get it bushed.LOL
