Mississippi. No need to say anything else, 98° and 90% humidity. Picked 3 rows of peas in long britches and a tee shirt, my socks were soaked with sweat. It'll cool off in November in time for Thanksgiving,,,, I hope.

Where I live, the hotter it gets, the drier it is. Say 95 f and 15% RH. At 105 it might be 9% humidity. Tough on the skin, though, turns to parchment. And at this altitude more of the bad ultraviolet gets through the atmosphere. But it cools off at night, typically drops 30+ degrees, in early fall a 45 degree drop is common.

The smokin hot weather Babe is predicting 118 for Phoenix this weekend . Sunday , I believe . And newbies keep asking why we start 600 / 1,000 Practices at Daybreak . We're outta there by 9:30 , when it's still only around 100 . DUH !

Asphalt and concrete, shingles, dark paint, engines, radiant heat. They create the hotspots in the cities. All that structure makes it hard for cooling at night.

Looked into some of the local ranges around. 9 am opening. Yeah… I don’t think so. My pasture opens in the dark, goes live when I can see the target. At 9 am, I’ve generally just finished breakfast.

ADDENDUM: 7/9/23. went from northern Italy to Rome and dear lord is it hot. 102 in the city today.

Here in Erie, on the shores of Lake Erie, it's 79 degrees and 80%
humidity. I just came in from splitting pear wood for the smoker.
Shot of Rye and a tall boy of ice water, along with a fresh t-shirt, and I'm
good to go.....Us northern boys don't like the heat, but humidity is even
worse. Hope you all fair well. This is not ending anytime soon.

Yeah,,,, but you have to start at daybreak and work through it,,,,,, kinda like the frog in the water pot. Dont go out mid day and think you'll be fine for a little while.
