Top 4 firearms you should own

I just watched a video on youtube about the basic firearms everyone should own and it got me to thinking about what my choices would be. I approached this with the mind set that if I had to choose just only 4 firearms for the rest of my life and these firearms were needed to preform any and every task one would and might encounter thru their lifetime....here they are and here's why...whats your pick

1. Rem. 870 wingmaster 12ga. shotgun. A shotgun is probably one of the most versatile firearms out there. Many things can be hunted with it and the rem. 870 is a proven platform with many, many aftermarket and factory parts available. Could be used for home defense and hunting.

2. Rem 700BDL 30-06. This rifle can pretty much cover everything from varmints to elephants...A huge selection of ammo and again many, many aftermarket and factory parts available. In an all out war situation though it wouldn't fill every niche it would be an awesome all around rifle for hunting and protection.

3. Springfield Armory 1911-A1 in .45cal. what else can i say about the .45...if I had to pick only one pistol this would be it...as far as brand that is up for grabs..personally i have owned several Springfields and have been very pleased with them though there are many, many other companies that make similar quality and even better...If it was only one pistol the .45cal would be it. And you can't even begin to catalog the millions of parts available for the 1911-A1.

4. Marlin Model 39A In my opinion everyone should own a really good 22lr. I personally love the 39A. Shoots shorts, longs, longrifles. So easy to find .22lr ammo and these guns are tack drivers even with just plain ole open sights...Thousands and thousands of game have fallen to the 22lr.
Got one of each. The only thing I would add for people in the intermountain west is a good 270 or a 280 or magnum in those bore sizes. If you live where there are dangerous animals then a 338 would be good IF you are a good shot with one.

Meh, I wouldn't choose any lever gun but that's just me. A decent bolt action in whatever caliber suits you in a hunting configuration, if that's what you like. As for a shotgun, the M.870 is pretty iconic if you can shuck a pump. I have an old B-Grade trap with three barrels I like. I use the 26" IC more than any other. But I use a Benelli 26" mF-90 mostly when I'm not carrying an O/U. A good 22 LR pistol in a simi auto is great and there are many fine ones to choose from. A good bolt action 22 is also fun to shoot and very useful. I have a Rem. m700 I chambered in 220 Beggs Russian that I'm partial to and think everyone ought to have something like it but then there's the .223. AR's are fun but I hate chasing brass.
Opinions are going to run the gambit because everyone's taste is different as is their shooting background.

Glock 19. Benelli M4. HK 416. US only list. Wilson Combat 45. Mossberg 590a1. Springfield Armory M1a.
That's 6...Not fair. My picks Sig 220, Benelli M4, Rem mdl 7 308 10 twist, Rem. 541X.

#1. Glock .G22 , .40 cal
#2. SKS
#3. Winchester Model 12 / 12 guage
#4. Kelby .308

No potential ammo shortage for any of these .

Remington 512 22 rifle
S&W M17 22 revolver
12 GA O/U shotgun, prefer Belgian Browning
30-06 rifle. CRF, Mauser action, pre-64 Winchester M70

I REFUSE to even consider the thought! I “identify” as a gun hoarder. I need all of my “emotional support” guns! My Black guns feel discriminated against, so I give them more attention when I’m in Texas. They’re discriminated against in Communist Delaware.

So after resurrecting an old topic, I’m a little surprised no one commented about commonality of ammo. I agree with the shotgun and even a decent 22. But in the middle I would have to go back a century and have a revolver and lever gun in the same cartridge family. Used to be a 45 or 44, but today I think would pick the 357/38 , with the right bullets these two alone just might fill the bill for all you need in a crunch. You can have a bunch, but only realistically actively carry two. 1 handgun and 1 long gun.

Perazzi MX2000
Colt 6920 EPR
CZ 557 .308
CZ 75B 9mm

I have all these except the Perazzi. But a guy can dream. Until then my Beretta 694 is an affordable substitute.

Pretty much my list but I would go with a few different guns for different reasons. I’d keep 4 the same you nailed it. 1 I would go with the 1100 the most solid gun I’ve ever had under the preface you buy some o rings with it lmao. 2. You’re spot on but the only thing I would say is due to them being so dang expensive a good Mauser 7mm sporter can be had for cheap and be a dang nice shooter without spending too much, to get that rifle slot filled. 3. Yup gotta have a 45, my favorites an early Kimber I’ve got but Springfield makes a good one. The only thing I would say is I’d add a 5 for a 9mm to finish it out. My custom Glock 17 is hard to beat.

A reliable shotgun. I like 20s myself. A rimfire rifle, I kinda prefer a 17hmr but a 22 works. A midsize rifle suitable for coyote to med game like a 6 creed, 243, 2506. A handgun in a flavor you like. 10mm for me.

a glock 17 complete with a spare glock 22 slide would have to be one.

a ruger mark series or 10/22

a ruger m77 in 300 win mag stainless with paddle boat stock haha

mossberg 500 mariner.
