Can’t predict what will work in your chamber. In mine, a nice mild charge of 28.9 of N133 with a 66 grain boattail .010 into the lands is just about right.

I’d caution you against running a high powder charge right out of the box though. It will probably be fine but it would suck to get there only to realize you are having pressure and a sticky bolt.

I have used 28.8 and a 65BT or FB in 0.010 to 0.012 on a regular basis and won, so don’t worry. No I am not Tony Boyer but neither is anyone else.
My next node is in the 30 to 30.3 but I do try both.
And if it was 2012 N133 that I have used and he put in 30.3+ good buy cases.
Sound advice I believe you provided.

Thanks. I was just trying to help. It was a new untested combination that was being shot without any real information to support shooting a hot powder charge. That’s all I was trying to get across.

Come on, seriously??? Say it isn’t so. Tell me he didn’t actually sleep in and skip the match. I don’t even shoot 6ppc, nor have I ever; but I was really looking forward to hearing how this thread worked out and ultimately how this guy would fair at the competition.

Fill the case full to the top with 133, tap the case to make a little room for the bullet, 1/16 to 1/8" is plenty,
Load bullet and shoot.

Every thing else is bull**it.
