Well, I have finally got to shoot a 22 RF match with a lot of great folks in S.W. Virginia this past Friday night. I had no plans on shooting the match, but was convinced by my good friend, Jimmie Tate. I had no rifle, equipment, ammo or any type of idea as to what to do. I was set up with a 22 Remington 40X that was probably older than I was. I was given the instructions and safety briefing. I did not even have to pay my entry fee, since it had already been paid.
I could not say no after all of that hospitality. It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the next time I can be in the area to get to visit with my new friends. I did find out one thing, those tiny X's are really small at 50 yards. I did find out that my old trusty Nylon 66 would not work for shooting those extremely small circles. It was a lot of fun shooting with the Bi-Pod Posse. Now the real trick is to move there.
Great instructions on form and how to shoot from Jimmie and all, because I was told a 199-3X was not too bad for my first time.
A shout out to a bunch of great ladies and gents, it was a lot of fun.
