I'll start by saying I do not shoot benchrest or F class so I'm not up to speed on those disciplines. I used to shoot a lot of PRS and still do shoot some locally, so my gear is setup more for that.
I've been using a Vortex Viper PST Gen II for a long time and it's served me well, but have recently been shopping around for something with better glass.
I've found some decent deals on used scopes, then find out they don't have zero stops. The more I look, I'm realizing that none of the scopes geared towards BR have zero stops and I've been scratching my head wondering why a $2500 scope wouldn't have something as simple as a zero stop. Is this a BR/f class thing where a zero stop is in some way a hinderence? What are you BR guys doing, counting clicks like a peasant? Lol. I just can't imagine not having a zero stop. I'm not really worried about ranging anymore, so FFP isn't required, but a zero stop feels like a necessity.
