What are the prefered powders for the 1000yd BR shooters?

i used h4831 for years with 187 to 210 gr bullets in a long bbl.
( short cut did not perform in my rifle)
i am sure some reloaders will work as will some vv

i do not "think" there was a diff, i tested and short cut came up short..pretty simple.

Retumbo was best for me also with a 230 gr Berger

H1000 did well for me over the years

H1000 for me for 300 win mag, retumbo is outstanding if I’m out of h1000

Also Vihtavuori N170 did quite well also when H1000 wasn't available .
These 2 were my go to powders period.

Might be able to get N170.
I use H1000 and haven't seen it in a long time. I have extensive load data for my 6.5 prc using it and am saving my supply.
Need something for the Win Mag.

I used IMR4350 for decades along with H1000. Basically I got 16lbs. of IMR4350 for about the price of 8lbs. back int he 1990's so I used it forever. H1000 because it too is a classic and I had it around for decades. Retumbo is great stuff.

H1000 and Retumbo would be my go to choice for long-range work today. I still use my remaining IMR4350 but for hunting loads.

I have done plenty of 1000 yard work with it. In fact I first started using a 300WM for 1000 yard work in 1995.
