Shooters World Powders

Ive had good results with Precision and its as good as Varget IMO. Match rifle is a ball powder but close to as good as H-335 in my AR. Long Rifle, I have not been able to get it to shoot well in several cartridges. SW4350 has only given me good results in my 338 RCM. Couldnt get it to shoot in my 6XC. Nothing spectacular IME.

Been using Match Rifle in 223 with 77 gr. bullets and good results.

Been winning or placing high in heavy gun benchrest competition using Precision. It is NOT a direct substitute for Varget. My last test, just a couple weeks ago, showed it to be about 50 fps LESS than an equal amount of Varget with same cases, primers and bullets.

SW4350 (Lovex S070) is considerably slower burning than IMR or H4350. Nothing new here - that was noted by Handloader magazine staff writers 20 or so years ago, when it was sold in the US as Accurate Arms Co. XMR-4350. It behaves more akin to IMR-4831 than 4350.

Precision Rifle (Lovex S062) is a step slower burning than VarGet. It was sold at one time as Accurate Arms Co. - 4064 and it's an excellent alternative to the antediluvian but very useful and flexible IMR-4064. I tested it in 223 against VarGet, here:

My Garand really loves match rifle. I use precision as well and it does great in my Type 99 Arisaka and my Tikka 308 winchester. A very underrated powder is the Buffalo Rifle. If you are a cast bullet shooter this is your new favorite powder.

By way of information Gasper the OP passed this past year. A hell of a nice guy and always enjoyable to chat with, I wish he was still with us, he was an asset to the forum. Just letting you know in case your wondering why he doesn’t respond.

I've been liking SW Tactical Rifle for use in 223 and 308 with lighter bullets. It burns really clean for me. In my 308 Palma gun with Speer 125 TNTs for 200yard practice, it's very accurate.

My son has been using SW Tactical Rifle (24.5 Grains) w/80 grain SMK's out to 1000 yards with great success. Not quite super-sonic at 1000 but stable and very close to being supersonic.

Muzzle velocity is just a tad over 2800 fps out of a WOA 1/7 20" Tube. This load is still moving 1750 fps @ 600 yards w/SD=16 fps (per Shotmaker).

Using LC Brass, FGGM 205M Primers with COAL @ 2.435" +/- .005" (Over Mag Length...must Single Load in AR).

Warning....this load is Hot. Primers starting to get loose after 3rd Reload on surplus/one fired LC Brass.
