StaBall Match with 95 TMK Ladder Test

Finally made it to the range this weekend and ran a ladder test with the new StaBall Match powder in 6BR.

Archimedes action from ARC
Osprey Barrel Works 1:7 26" by PVA
No turn chamber with 95 TMK at .050 jump
New Lapua brass, CCI 450

Started at 31.0 and ran up to 32.2

Speed topped out at 2,911 with no signs of pressure. I feel it has more in it. I'll be loading some more up and hopefully testing this weekend.

where is the target. it aint a ladder with out target data...

I also re-ran LVR powder. Sweet spot at 32.5-32.7 @ 2,935

Chronograph and mental note. Staball Match did not come to life with a 95 grain until I got to 31.7 grains. Up until then it wasn't sealing the cases in the chamber and they were getting covered in soot. I'm going to load up a 5×5( ladder with 5 of each weight) to test next.

Just a straight test for speed and potential pressure.

People are confused because of the terminology. A "ladder test" means observing how the vertical impact point varies with velocity. The term is used to describe a method figured out by Creighton Audette ages ago. If you plot velocity vs vertical impact on a chart, you will see a stair-step pattern if your rifle is sufficiently accurate. Hence "ladder".
