Ditto on the above. I find my 21st Century hand tool (it's adjustable) gives me accurate and consistent seating depths. For speed, the Competition Primer Seater from Primal Rights does very well too . . . at a price. What and accurate priming tool on market need to get my primers same deep every time.
Yep, these two are the common choices.21st Century or Primal Rights
Ok thanks guysYep, these two are the common choices.
yes and no...you need them at the bottom of the primer pocket period. that is the same depth when you uniform the primer pockets. What and accurate priming tool on market need to get my primers same deep every time.
Which is preferred K & M or precision tools century 21 priming tool ?yes and no...you need them at the bottom of the primer pocket period. that is the same depth when you uniform the primer pockets.
Ok thanks good informationIf you have the money for a CPS you can’t go wrong but I like the feel of other tools. I was taught to seat primers by feel on an old LachMiller and I still use a similar tool (RCBS) today that hasn’t been made for many years, it works for me, pictured below. It has great feel and is pretty fast when you’re in a rythem. If I was looking today I’d save my money and invest in the 21st Century tool, a lot of guys rate that has the their favorite. This is a fairly common topic and if you do a search in primer tools you’ll get a bunch of hits.
Ok thanks good videoHere's an cheap solution.. If it's too slow, you can always set them flush with something faster, then seat to depth with the RCBS ram prime. Lee also has a ram prime that would work the same way. I just did some .223 today and they were within .0005" of each other.
