Howa mini allowable pressure

New to this forum, lots of great info on here! This seems to be one of the best places for 6mm variant discussions.

I see that the Howa mini action rifles in 6mm ARC seem to be hitting the shelves finally. Has anyone seen a definitive answer on whether Howa/LSI approves use of the Hornady bolt gun load data (62ksi)? Obviously one would need to work up to that carefully, just curious if there is any "official" guidance on that since the SAAMI pressure is 52ksi. I know they chambered .204 Ruger, so should be good up to 57,500psi at least.

Not sure you’ll get good brass life at 62k but I’d think 58k would be Gucci, Hornandy has data for bolt gun with approximately 1 more grain of powder than gas gun loads.
The howa will easily be happy with that.

Good point about brass life, especially given the shortage of available brass. I picked up 100 rounds of Hornady factory match loads to break in a barrel I have coming, and to get the brass from that. Probably wise to stay on the lower end of the pressure if I can find a node that works well, in hopes of getting a few extra loads.

Primarily though I don't want to peen locking lugs or otherwise cause premature wear on the action if I do end up looking for good loads at the higher pressures.

Thanks for the input!

Any of the factory made rifles, for a given caliber are able to use the factory ammunition, from any company, put on the market. They all are made to withstand the given factory loads and pressure of such.
It is the higher pressure you must be carefull with, when you reload a given cartridge in your rifle, as that is when it will and can vary. Safe and sane reloading is called for.
