Finally dinking around with this hornet I got a two years back . Still need to do the ole clearing rod and tape trick so I can figure out what the barrel twist is but looking to start stock up on bullets to load for it. Wanted to know what eveyone likes to feed theres because this girl doesn't seem to like these 45gr PPU's :D

Mine is a tack driver with Hornady 35 gr NTX and H-110 powder. All I do to mine is size in a Lee collet neck sizer. Hits 3000 fps with this bullet. Does well on Groundhogs.

A lot of haters for lilgun, it it gave me good speed and accuracy through my TC.
As you mentioned twist will determine what bullet.
My model 40 has been switched over to cast bullets.

I bought a bullet sizing die from CH4D so I could make 223 bullets for my 22 Jet revolvers.

Works perfect and the accuracy is still there.

Why try to re- invent the wheel? 35 grain V Max over Lil Gun and small pistol primers is a great place to start. Neck size only, I use a Lee collet neck die. All this works on my 4 Hornets( 3 Rugers and Savage 40.

You need to move your front rings forward a notch or two. Never want to have rings that close to the knobs, can cause adjustment issues if rings aren't a near perfect fit. Plus it doesn't look right!

Yet his rail is unsupported out where the front ring would be best....it's a case of 6 of one or half dozen of the other.

I'd switch to single screw Burris Z Rings, recoil isn't a concern, You'll gain more than a half inch of scope adjustment and then cut or buy a shorter rail. That bounce with a ring sitting on is not a not a good program IMO. Hard on the scope and a pain to clean under. Powder, don't overlook 1680.
