What bolt face for 300 or 338 NORMA

I have a Remington 7mm Ultra Mag that I am wanting to re-barrel. (Never could get it to shoot) can I do one of the NORMA magnums? or What would yall suggest? Not sure if I am going to keep this a hunting rig or if I want to go more of the informal target side with this one? Figured I'd ask and get some suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank yall.

I fell for the 7 Ultra Mag trap one time too. Depends on what you want to use the rifle for.... If hunting, the 300 RUM is awesome. For a custom chamber, a 28-30 Nosler would be great too. RUM's are meant to run hard, brass life is short. Nosler's aren't much better. I have a 338 RUM built specifically to shoot one mile for fund raisers and schools. It duplicates 338 Lapua ballistics but brass last 3 firings.

Didn’t think about the 338 Ultra.

Thanks

What brass are you using?
I shoot 338 edge (338/300Rum) using ADG brass and 95+ grains of N570 and 265 or 285 solids at 3000ish and I’m at 9 loads now.

Remington and then Nosler. I'll look into other brass options when this batch is toast.
Thanks,
Scott
