A real CZ457 single shot follower wanted

My bud said he bought a couple,m but they are flat on top and sits too low. Any help before I have to fab one.

I haven't. A couple of shooters at my range have used their tuners and the single shot follower for the savage mk11. Never heard a complaint.

A member over on rimfire central also makes some. PwNolan is the member name.

If I had some dimensions, etc, I might be able to CAD one up and 3D print it. I've done these for AICS pattern and even made one for my AR service rifle with a bolt catch.

Gene, The problems that my Bud has seen with the others is you have to carefully place the cartridge on the feed lips to allow it to work. I have no idea why they
can't copy the floor of a good SS receiver and use that in their follower.

Good question. Since I do my own CAD, I don't see that as a problem either unless there is some geometry that doesn't lend itself to FDM.

Theyll roll off the back side and are hard to get on most of these followers. The issue with the ones bedded in the stock to make them like a 40x is if theyre high enough to let the round go in the chamber the bottom of the bolt hits them. If gene could come up with one like that spring loaded you can bed in the stock and make it a no magazine single shot id love to have a few. Ill even send some actions down for fitting

I have both a SS and repeater magazine in hand. I will look at them over the weekend. My immediate concern is hitting the bottom of the bolt.

I got some Model 52 Winchester adapters from Pat Nowlan (3D printed), and the new style works real well. I would check with him on the 457. He's sort of local for you too! (Within a couple hundred miles). WH
