It certainly looks like a Lyman 17A. Lee Shaver Gunsmithing in Lamar, Missouri sells inserts made from spring steel that are acid etched from flat stock. The big benefit over the Lyman is thinner cross pieces and apertures(circles) to look through for a much improved sight picture.This appears to be a Lyman 17A based upon my Googlefoo but really I know nothing about this type of sight.
