I recently picked up an old Remington 700 BDL Varmint in 222Rem wanting to mount my Redfield international rear sight and Olympic globe front sight to it seeing as the gun is already tapped for the mounts. I had a rear sight mount and several sight blocks from a 40X that I was going to use but they've gone MIA and it looks like I'll need to buy more. I can't seem to find a source for them and I'm not even sure what height sight block I will need for the front sight. Does anyone know how to determine what height block I will need or even know already which one is the proper height?
