AR Stoner barrel

A friend has an AR15 that was shoot till it needed a new barrel. He disassembled the upper and bought just a barrel, and when it arrived reassembled the upper with the new barrel, and was pleasantly surprised to find it shoots as good as custom barreled gun he has ever owned. Does anyone here have the same experience? Does anyone know who makes barrels for them?

Every ar15 I've built in .233 has printed my loads under an inch at 100yds with stoner 18 and 20" SS barrels.
Nothing wrong with ar15 stoners I've ever used.

AR Stoner barrels are heavily rumored to be made by a famous/big name , I have heard this (and I don't remember who the maker is) from several people.....sometimes we take a gamble and it all pays off

I have a couple of friends who has bought a 223 wylde and a 22 Nosler. I would put either of those barrels against any. Surprised the heck out of me

Wife and I both built ARs this past year and we both used AR Stoner barrels. We are very happy with them. Both will shoot 52gr bergers under a half inch without even trying. Very good barrels for the money.

I've had a good and not good AR Stoner barrels. About the same % as Bear Creek.
There's an extremely good reason for that.
Bear Creek Arsenal is a 100% USA company that uses from 40 to 60 TONS of steel each week.
Those barrels have to go somewhere.
