Gloss Leupold scopes

Custom shop is closed but warranty and repair is still open.... The idea that they aren't repairing scopes just replacing them is BS

If you read the original post you'd see i never said they don't repair scopes. They do not repair the older gloss finish scopes, many configured with no longer made features. If you send in an M8 in 7.5, 8 or 10 power with AO, it won't come back because they alegedly don't have parts. There are no current replacement equivalent to many of those older models

The Custom shop does repairs as i had a VX-3i LRP sent in this Nov. and they replaced a couple erectors......
Got my same scope back.....

The " Custom shop " has been closed since Covid started and Leupold has no intention to reopen it in the future!!!!!!

I still buy the old gloss leupolds when I see a good deal, I have few of them and old Burris scopes made in the USA, gloss scopes for vintage rifle or anything with blue wood combo. The pricing on some of those gloss leupolds is insane watching what they go for on eBay or gunbroker but you can still find deal here and there. I picked up this 3-9 with the old CPC reticle couple months ago, didn’t take long to find rifle to put it on.

As far as I can tell Leupold doesn't have any plans to reopen the Custom Shop or repair any scopes. Just replace scopes with current inventory.

The " Custom Shop " is still Closed They aren't changing reticles Or installing target knobs. So it isn't beating a dead horse at all!!!
