Marks on bottom of base on scope

Mark has a pic of the type rail mount needed(AR ). But the scope base needs cross bolts that fit the cross slots. The cross bolts are than torqued when "pushed" forward in the cross slots. I can pm the QD info.
Marks on base are the result of sliding on the rail top(back/forth) during recoil.

You need a new rail with slots all the way across the top. Your base “key” has nothing to grab.
I would agree with this.
It does look like the base key might be replaceable (by undoing the three Allen screws). Might call sight mark regarding that. Also may need to make sure the other two marks in the base are filed down flat before remounting

That makes sense

You will need to remove the 3 socket head cap screws with a hex wrench and remove the burr on the "cross piece." The Torx screws are "anti tamper" and I don't see any reason to remove them.
