Teslong borescopes weren't invited in 2011.It don't matter how you clean your barrel you NEED a bore scope and you can get a Teslong for $50 .

^This^ The answer is the same now as it was in 2011. If a Savage continues to group as expected, it doesn’t need to be cleaned (JMO). As mentioned, a quality Drop In replacement barrel saves a lot of cleaning agony.My question is :" How does it shoot and group ?" If it does very well, then just shoot, clean and enjoy it.
If you just can not get it to shoot accuratly, then get a pre-fit and start over.
