Muzzle devices for accurate AR15's

Do you guys putting together AR's to shoot tiny groups happen to have a specific muzzle device ( other then suppressors lol) that you reach for right off the bat before trying another?
Thanks :):)

I use a kaw valley linear comp. I can shoot my 16in carbine no ear plugs and no major ear blast. if I shoot without out then my left ear will hurt for a week ( tried if once for comparison testing!). Not saying I shoot it with no plugs but if I take a shot or two with no plugs then it dosent bother me at all. ie shooting at a coyote out truck window.
But for precision I would start with nothing and when you have your load then put on the comp and see if it changes anything. If it dosent then will be more pleasant to bench shoot as face blast is non existent and you can hear your action cycle.

Well the barrel is threaded already so maybe just a thread protector?
LOL, try it you have nothing to loose. If you own a thread protector
than use it but if you dont just shoot it without and see how you like it then
buy one.

On AR15's the reciprocating mass of the bolt carrier moves the gun more than the recoil of the round.
