Montana moose hunt

Great write up Tom! Congrats on a really nice bull. I really enjoyed the sequence of your pictures that was awesome! You are truly blessed to live in the state of Montana. It is my favorite state to visit I can only dream of living there. Dave will be proud of your write up and pictures.

Nicely done Tom! Awesome pics of a beautiful area and a well earned moose. Get some rest, moose seem to get bigger when they hit the ground!

Awesome Tom. It was fun hearing from you you this fall as you scouted right up through your successful outcome. I’m really happy for you. You are an incredibly determined guy and this was well deserved to say the least.

Time to get testing now!

Dave.

Wow! Nice work Tom. I know how brutal the Cabinet Mountains can be. It’s no picnic up there and everything you come by is hard earned. You definitely put in a ton of time and earned that bull. He’s a good one :) Great job!

Awesome job Tom. One hell of a trophy.

What a lot of people don't realize, is these special draw tags are no picnic. As someone that's had a couple in my own pocket, (Goat tag 2021, Moose tag in 2015) the physical challenge is only a small part of it. The mental challenge with these types of hunts are like nothing you've ever experienced. Especially after not seeing a lot of animals and getting later in the season.

Well done Tom.

I'll take time and organize more on my last post about that. 300 wsm shooting 185 jugs at 3060 with adg brass and rl16. Vortex lht 3-15. The poor thing took a he'll of a hit coming out I fell bad and she slammed rocks under the snow. Will have to shoot it to check zero before anymore hunts for sure.

I don't see anything cracked or dented at least!

Congrats Tom! It’s great to see all of the adventures and challenges you went through in successfully filling your tag. The work ethic that has made you one of the best benchrest shooters was on full display for this hunt – the moose didn’t stand a chance. Hopefully your tuning spot isn’t snowed out and you can get some shooting in soon.
