Base measurements after fl sizing

Hi
I've been measuring my fireformed and sized cases and i notice that my fl bushing die is
Bumping the shoulder back .002
Sizing the shoulder body junction. 002 smaller
Yet the base of my case is the same diameter
My rifle chambers just fine
Would this be a problem in the long run

Depends on your chamber clearance near webs, and your breach support.
How many times have cases been fired, at what approx load pressure? I ask because you apparently suspect that your numbers will change.
My cases have been fired 4 times
55k psi +
Would I then be able to get away with using a bump die instead of my fl die

Bolt click...incoming, just a matter of time if you are indeed getting no sizing at the web end. You don't need much but you do need some. Pressure has a lot to do with how long you'll get by without it. I load quite a bit hotter than that but I still prefer about .0005-.0006 after springback. That's the key. It takes about .003 smaller die to yield that siziing after it springs back. That brass in the bottom end is tough and generally thicker.

............Yet the base of my case is the same diameter....
Might as well consider that normal. The reason small base dies exist is not to reduce base diameters below as new diameters but to make the base smaller than standard dies. There are some interesting dies for just above the belt on belted cases and roll sizing procedures and such to size cases more and differently than standard dies. Most people most of the time get by with standard dies. Others are the market for alternative procedures. I'd say have some new cases in reserve for the time you may need them or maybe not and keep shooting.
