Suggestion for posting target pictures

Dont put a dime right next to your group. Dont lay a box of ammo right next to your group. Dont put your finger next to the group like youre pointing to it. Everybody on here is wondering what youre trying to hide. Not a single person on here will look at a group of 22cal holes and say “man i wish there was a dime in the picture so i could really see how small that is.” All you do is lose credibility covering up a flyer- just show it.

Show the group, the whole group, nothing but the group so help you God. it's a joke, nobody get bent out of shape. I never thought about hiding a bad shot with a dime. If I had I'd have to go get a roll of them.

Convert a poor 5 shot group to a good 3 shot group.
Trust me, these are 5 shot groups Black arrows are scope adjustments, red marks didn't make 1MOA (I still have the target)

In UBR we're showing the target, the whole target. I sometimes cut out a sighter (that I didn't use) and make a card of it so I have 5 shot groups (one shot on each target). Pretty easy to see if I messed up! This is a sample, I did shoot some 3 shot groups just testing powder loads but this is what I'm talking about.

The bottom line is that, if you feel the need to "hide" the flyers and make your group look better than it really is, you are only fooling yourself.
Any deception doesn't affect anyone who reads the post. It only acts to "fool" the person posting. If you need the extra "atta boys" then so be it.

Bottom line is I couldn't really care less.
I use my shooting and groups to improve my procedures and shooting.

Lol. I’ve always thought the same thing and wondered if others felt the same way. We all know how big the bullet hole is based on what caliber you told us you were shooting, the dime in the picture does nothing to help me “visualize” how small the group is. Haha. So glad you said this because I’ve done it myself years ago and looked back at the pics and laughed to myself when I said “others must be thinking, what’s under the dime”

I prefer a coin or something relative in size to share tuning information or have a question when I’m at a weekend event, I never use those ballistic apps on the tablets or phone.( I don’t know anybody that covers bullets holes to make themselves appear to shoot smaller, that’s not what we do here..)
The guys I wonder about are the ones that stage their fancy pistol and a few rounds on the target next to the Rolex watch.
