Wow. I am amazed at the number of revolvers and 1911’s. Me, I switched to a Sig P365 when it came out years ago and now a P365x with Holosun 507k.

Mid-'70s, 99% condition. I put the Hogue Bantam grip panels on it, also have the OEMs and a custom set a previous owner made for boot carry undercover LEO work. How he kept the gun pristine I'll never know. It came out of the Fort Worth area.

I recently picked up a new Hellcat Pro, still getting it sorted out. Put in an Apex trigger kit, much better now, breaks at 4.25 lbs. My first striker pistol so need to get comfortable with it.

The LCP disappears in most pant/short pockets... Unless you wear skinny jeans... and can be a true EDC all year long.
I have the II and my only gripes with it is that the rifling is sub par compared to other manufacturers.
The fixed sights don't bother me and a little white nail polish works great on the front sight.

I don’t know but if I did ever have to defend myself, it would probably be a belly to belly fight and a revolver might be a good choice. If someone had to stop a mass shooter it would be a different subject. I’m glad we have choices for our different circumstances.

Glock 43 and 43X. If concealment is not an issue then H&K VP9 is my favorite of all pistols…except 1911’s.

43X with a Crimson Trace laser, Holosun 507K and a Shield 15.... (old eyes need as much help as they can get)

Or a 629 5" w/44 Special 240 gr. LSWC loads......

Or a 1911 w/some 185 CorBons....

Or a 442 with some stout +Ps....

My EDC has changed dramatically drastically since I retired.

If they are loaded to 775 fps out of a 4" barrel that will put them low 700's from a 2" Smith. I load my own, 3 gr of titegroup chrony 720 fps (oragon trail 148 DEWC)
Here's another test from Lucky Gunner duplicating the other test. Around 700-750 fps is the magic number for 16" penitration w/ 148 WC.

Sure would....stick to reg SP primers or Fed mags.... CCI SP mag are too hard for my j frame to set off 100%.
