1/4 Minute DOT scopes

Hi All,

Other than March, does anyone know of any scopes, 16-32 power that are available with fine crosshair 1/4 minute DOT reticles?
I see a few with 1/8 minute dot, but my old eyes just cant pick them out of the black these days.

A reticle conversion would be OK too if well done.

Sling shooter, decimal targets.

Thanks in advance!

Frank

Doesn't March also offer a 3/32 dot ? That would split the difference between 1/8" and 1/4"

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the input, and Sightron might have used to offer the 1/4 minute dot, but on their website they are currently only listing the 1/8 dot.

I will try contacting their custom shop though...

Frank, my now discontinued Sightron SII 6-24 has a fine crosshair with a 1/4" dot and 1/8" clicks. Talk with Allan Orr when you call Sightron. He's a shooter and can help you.

Good shootin' -Al

I guess I should have been more clear -I am looking for an 'uncomplicated' reticle :) . ('cause I am simple)

The MOA-2 indeed does have a dot that subtends 1/4 MOA at 20 power, but all the rest of the 'stuff' in that reticle would, to me, be quite distracting.

The official word from Sightron via email is that they no longer do a 1/4 MOA target dot reticle -only 0.5 MOA.

Got it.
If you're shooting at round, black targets, I've found when I focus on the dot, I don't see anything else.
For me, I need a 1/2 MOA dot so it's easier to see in the black.

I've spent a LOT of time looking for scopes that have just a dot/dot and cross hairs. As you may have found, they only ones available are 1/8 MOA dots.

If you get a Leupold that has wires in the reticle, Optical Services Company can change it for a dot any size you want.
I'm having a Vxiii done; next will be one of the newer VX3 type scopes.

Like Scott - I only see the dot on the target. The other markings draw my eye to the dot but once in get there … dot in the X ring.

Probably not what you are looking for at all but I’ll toss it out there. If you can find a 2013 Nightforce comp [15-55] with the DDR reticle, the dot was 1/8 at 55x, in the mag range your wanting to use it would be a 1/4 dot in a great scope. They changed it in ‘14 because when F class shooters dialed back the dot got too big on our small targets.
