Were you not running heavies (50 grain bullets) in that VT? Or when speaking of 2200 were you running light bullets. Just looking for clarification, not being a poop.

I shot some 39 sierras and 40vmax early on, but switched to the big 55gn bergers after ~200rnds and haven't shot anything else since. 1.5" 600 yards groups are a special treat when you get almost 400 rounds from a single pound of powder!

Be aware the 40 Gn. Vmax might be marginal in your 12 twist.
