6mm Creedmoor dies

Looking for a small base die for 6mm Creedmoor.

Does anyone know who makes one?

Checked with RCBS, Hornady, Redding and don't see one anywhere.

the 6mm Creedmoor brass is the same as 6.5 Creedmoor only necked down to 6mm. Might find 6.5 CM dies for what you need (Sizing the base)

Thant might work, if I remove the expander ball.

Yup if you find a small base bushing die for 6.5 Creedmoor you can use the proper bushing for the 6mm and do all the sizing in one step.

Redding makes a type S bushing die.

Just order the correct bushing for neck tension.

They also sell a 6mm expander ball to replace the 6.5 ball.

I don’t even use the expander ball with the Type S and a bushing.

Any of the 308 size small base dies will work. Some even use the open top 45acp dies for this. You could use a 30-06 small base die. That may be your easiest find if you dont have a gunsmith that can make you one right quick. The best thing to use is a ring die from @Uthink Uknow on here

I have one for the 6.5CM. Wanting to know if someone made one for the 6mm CM.

But looks like I can work around it by the suggestions.

No it’s not. It comes from the 6.5 Creedmoor with a parent case of the 30TC.

RCBS makes a 6 creed Small Base FL sizer. Mine seems to be minimum size in every dim, and produces RIDICULOUSLY tight necks - like, collapse the shoulder when trying to run a .241" mandrel after SB sizing... So if you order the RCBS version, I would have RCBS hone the neck to a larger dim, or cut the top off of the die to avoid excessively shrinking the neck.

No, this is bad info. Doing this will shrink the shoulder of the 6.5 creed and change the body taper.

Just this past week I bought a Redding small base BODY die in 6mmCM. It is 6mm specific die. It reduces the case about .0015" from what my Hornady die sizes the case. The measurement is .470 +- .0005", (micrometer measured not caliper measured) just forward of the extractor groove with Lapua brass. It bumps the shoulder back a few thousandths also. That was unexpected.
