My issue with the JKL trigger is it is TOO sensitive. It picks up the closing of the bolt sometimes. I have to play with it to get it to function perfect from day to day. Lately I haven’t been using it because the range has been so empty I’m the only guy there.
The setting does seem to still effect the way the JKL trigger seems to perform.Raises a question: Does the trigger sensitivity setting still affect the triggering when using an external trigger device? Might have to play with mine (though I have no idea how I'd do any sort of calibrated vibration...)
An external trigger plugged into the front jack is supposed to defeat the internal microphone/acoustic sensor. Because the sensitivity settings are present to control the internal microphone, I would think that using an external trigger would also render the sensitivity settings inoperable. But I don't know that with certainty and it could certainly be tested. Alternatively, a call to the LabRadar folks would also answer that question definitively. They have been very helpful the couple times I have called them with questions.Raises a question: Does the trigger sensitivity setting still affect the triggering when using an external trigger device?
