We are having a little discussion. If you use a abrasive such as JB will it stop coming out black when the bore is clean? Or on a new unfired barrel.

If you have a new barrel blank, rub some of it on the outer surface of the blank and see what happens.

No matter if it’s clean or not it will still come out black just like the iosso does. That’s where a Borescope comes in handy to look at it

No, but it does cut both ways, it can improve an old broach cut barrel or ruin a brand new hammer forged.
