How about knowing who your customers are and dropping it off at their door! My UPS driver does this.

I know lots of places collect your info. But any time someone tells me it's for my benefit all I feel is one hand on each shoulder and something sliding in my backside. Usually with no lube.

FedEx??? Last time they delivered anything they left on the side if the road 1 mile from my home, a local neighbor brought it to me, he passed it on the road for 3 days and decided to check it out. I hate FedEx! Always ship some other way if at all possible. This will in my opinion not help with delivery issue but will only make them take longer.

Well dang...I guess that means no more dump and runs for the drivers now doesn't it......It gives the buyer a chance to at least look at the package before the truck has left the block.

Upside for me is the FedEx driver had to actually deliver to correct address and did not ask for ID when delivering my Hazmat shipment from Natchez 2 weeks ago.

I have had way better luck with FedEx than the other options. Local delivery drivers are contractor employees. If there is a problem with them you will have better luck calling the contractor instead of FedEx.

In my small insignificant opinion, it will be used(monitored) to see just who all is receiving hazmat materials, by the govt(more effectively). Tin foil hat...off.

When You pull out your ID ,be sure it has someone Else's name on it and Your address with a photo of one of your State representative's .
