Good lord, give me SOME credit: I know quite well what's in use today. I also know that that can change, and that recent conflicts have shown some weaknesses in what we thought we had 20 years ago.

Or .276 Pederson, which the M1 would have been, if not for such an inventory of .30 bullets, stemming from the .30 Army onward. That, and a bigger/better culture, in light of the formidable 8mm Mauser (that should have been a 7).

yeah but
how do RIFLES built for 60k all the sudden handle 80 k ??

and if it is that simple why not do the same to 308 ?? thin the walls add a steel base and shoot a 130/135 at 80k ?
