OK Guys,

When I talk to customers about tuning long range rifles, I tell them that I usually start at touch and go into the rifling from there. Most of the time I’ll end up .006 to .012 in. I also tell them they can find an equally good seating depth jumping. Usually once again .006 to .012 jumping.

This weekend I shot the Hog Roast (short range) which is a qualifier for the World Team. I shot a 6BRA with the 105 Hammers in the 200 yard HV and came in 4th out of 70 shooters. Bad timing on the 3rd target cost me the match.

The 105 Hammers work pretty good for long range to.

Bart
In a conversation with Ferris Pindell a few years before his passing, he stated that if he were to shoot Benchrest at the date we were talking, he would shoot a high BC 105 grain 6mm at 200 yards. I asked would he shoot it in a PPC case and he replied no. He said that the PPC case did not have enough horsepower, and he would probably shoot something like a 6mm BR. Bart, I guess great minds think alike.

That one little club probably has more shooters than all IBS 1000yard clubs!

One little club, and I am referring to your post, posts more shooters than any other club for a 1000yd match. This includes Light Gun for 10 shots and Heavy/Unlimited for 10 shots. Williamsport created 1000yd Benchrest shooting. Mindless thinking really can’t prove anything different. Times have changed and administration of the sectioned clubs have changed. That is really too bad, we should just come together as one, under one set of rules, and shake the winner’s hand at the end of the day. I can tell you one thing, 10 shots at 1000 is really tough at Williamsport.
