USPS..maybe a record?

I think a little has to do with where you are.
I had to stop using them cause more than 75%, closer to 100%
of the time, the packages I sent were late, very late. (week or more)
And I used the "Priority" 2-3 day service.
 
Not gonna defend usps for making mistakes but I wonder how long this thread would be if all post about that time they got it right.

Sure.

But, as the saying goes: a customer with a good experience might tell two friends; a customer with a bad experience likely will tell ten.

All the more reason for vendors to listen to their customers, to gain from such experience.

Either way, reputation is earned.
 
I shipped(?) a rifle last week using USPS two-day priority. Took it to the PO and had the clerk do the postage and stuff. It spent a week with no tracking updates beyond “item is delayed but still on its way to destination”.

After that week It showed up on my door with “insufficient postage” marked on it. The clerk calculated my postage and took my money but failed to stick the postage label on the box.

I used another PO to get it going again but that clerk couldn’t help with the refund on the first try.

Now I need to figure out how to get my $92 back.

As for delayed shipments, I had a rifle stock vanish in their system for six weeks last year. A shipment from PA to Ohio.

My success rate is maybe 90% with USPS but that 10% is wow, bad.

Thats why i try not to ship usps . Pretty much piss poor service. But then i remember they are government employees. Tommy Mc
My wife does mail order prescriptions because they are the cheapest, been doing this for years. well her blood pressure medicine still hasn’t shown up for about 10 days our local post office has had it and then it went out for delivery and hasn’t been seen since and I have a PO Box! no one at the post office can find it had to go to the doctor and get another prescription what a joke!

Unbelievable!! It got to Billings ...again! needed to keep heading West..but NO ! It shipped BACK to Kansas City then to Ottawa, KS ? This is F....ing crazy! Day 15

Do You want to have it sent to ME in Idaho ?, that way Neighbor You and I can hook up along the border .

Can't believe you're having that much trouble getting a delivery . Seriously I'm BETTING they've had it stolen and are BS ing You with spoofs of where it's at and gone and going too !.

Have a Friend in Northern Calif. who had the same thing happen a few months back with bullets ,kept telling him they were here then there finally after 33 days ,he contacted the shipper /retailer and told them to either ship a replacement or refund his money . They shipped a replacement and it got there in #3 Days !.
 
There are six postal unions, hard for them to fire a postal employee!

If someone can't speak English, read a computer screen, can't get along with others, they get extra points in getting hired by the PO! One bad Postal employee can screw up an entire town!
I met a guy several years back that applied with the USPS back in the 70s. On his application the section for ethnicity, the box for indigenous American, (Eskimo) got checked (not by him) and he was hired immediately. By the time USPS figured out he was not and Eskimo, he was in the union, and they couldn't touch him.
 
Found the problem. the return address next to tracking label. So the machines would head it my way,the other machine would send it back. Hopefully they caught it and it will be sent out Monday.

Much the same as Yelp reviews. People are *much* more likely to post about a bad, poor, or less-than-satisfactory experience than a satisfactory or good one.

That, of course, is after discounting those who complain simply to earn fake internet points (meaning they make up their "bad" experiences.)
 
USPS is the best deal around for us in Alaska! A fraction of the cost of the others and the tracking is head and shoulders above those other 2. The majority comes by plane. If you use those others 'ground' option it rides in a boat for week. We get stuff almost every day and rarely ever have a problem.
 
I had a barrel sent to a customer via UPS that burned up in a fire in Lynchburg Va. SOOOO.... I win.
Ur second place. I ordered an item from England via Royal Post. Instead of heading West to the USA it turns east and ends up in MombI, India. I am tracking it and inform the sender of the situation. It turns around n contacts the Royal Post and is now heading West. Finally received the package a little worse for wear but contents was OK.
