That's what's known as a "Zumbo", isn't it?I would never support any denying anyone from shooting and owning what they want.
And I happen to only own single shot rifles
I think that he just means, in relative terms, that the Viet Nam Conflict was not of a size comparable to WWII or WWI. I do not think that he is making any judgements on the fighting and suffering experienced in that conflict. Thank you for your sacrifices in fighting for the freedom of the people of Viet Nam. It is too bad that our Government failed those that went there to fight, and ultimately failed the people of Viet Nam.I find what you write in your posts to very informative and interesting but I'll comment on your above comment.
I have no idea of your definition of a 'hot' war but when you're the guy plastered against a mud bank of a rice paddy dike and the tracers coming at you are green it is NOT a 'medium 'anything.' It is usually the BIGGEST thing you'll experience. (Hopefully
Sorry Mr. Laurie, but VietNam is a very sore subject with me. And I appreciate members of your commonwealth that chose to help. (Australia & New Zealand)
i wonder if they were the same lot or even the same brandI have to laugh at what the counter staff is thinking when all the shooters' wifes, daughters, etc. walk up to our sportsman's warehouse to get their allocation of 200 primers. my buddy got 1200 using this method.
I’ve done this before with my son in law. I’ve seen other guys wives in line with their 200 too. You got to do what you can.I have to laugh at what the counter staff is thinking when all the shooters' wifes, daughters, etc. walk up to our sportsman's warehouse to get their allocation of 200 primers. my buddy got 1200 using this method.
I was in my local shop the other day--a small junky place--owners dad was helping clean up some ( Much needed) when he pulled a box out from under a counter --dusty--and behold! 5x 1000 count CCI small rifle primers--I had to pay going rate of $99 per but now I have primers--Luck for sure except the gouge price'

The reloading components aspect of the total number of people who are into reloading is only about 15% of the market. Big companies are only about one thing making money so who do you think that they are going to cater to? It's only logical from a business point that it's not the reloader that they are concerned about and I don't blame them. Just keep beating this dead horse.OK again where are all the primers>
Here it is bullet companies are loading ammo now to name a few Sierra ,Hornady, Berger .
they always come first add to that military orders include governent
They always come first. we as reloader,s come last
They were. The guys were popping them out of the factory corrugated. You could get 400s or #41si wonder if they were the same lot or even the same brand
A store that never sold much reloading stuff before had some Winchester SP & SR primers in new red white & black boxes over the weekend. $12.99/100 with a limit of 3. They still have them & can choke on them at that price. They also had a couple cases of H110 @$39/lb. & a few other odd powders for not real good prices. They're a good sized chain store so apparently opportunistic upper management jumped on the greed bandwagon.
Where's the wood stocked rifles? I have cash in my pocket & it's all junky plastic eyesores in 308, 6.5 Creedmoor, or 300 WinMag. or $1000 lever guns in 38/357. Used rifle racks have disappeared.
I’ll be ready for primers to be begging to be bought, end of summer you say, I got just enough till thenInflation on the cost of living is going to be so bad by the end of summer, money will be tight and components will just be sitting on the shelves begging to be bought.
Sounds good but unlikelyInflation on the cost of living is going to be so bad by the end of summer, money will be tight and components will just be sitting on the shelves begging to be bought.
If that happens, ill be ready to buy 100,000 primers and enough powder to use them up. I think there are alot of guys like me out there— we will prolong the current conditionsInflation on the cost of living is going to be so bad by the end of summer, money will be tight and components will just be sitting on the shelves begging to be bought.
Tell me how many people are in long Range F class as a whole? How many people are into benchrest shooting as a whole? Not that many. Do you know that there were 905 members in the IBS in 2021 not counting the other organizations. Even if there were 100K benchrest shooters out there which the numbers are nowhere close to that, that would be a drop in the bucket. Your case is nowhere near rested. You can all say what you will about the reloading industry and numbers of people shooting verses reloading but I'm here to confirm Reloaders are on the RISE . Just ask any press or component manufacturer ,they CAN'T keep up with the demand . FYI : Neither can a couple of large volume ammunition automation production companies . So again their stuff is going somewhere .
I didn't mean to infer reloaders were a larger group than the Total number of persons purchasing firearms .
Yet many of us on this forum have been around several decades and I for one see far MORE shooters in every discipline ,especially in precision long range BR F Class you name it and HOW many of them are RELOADING !. I rest My case .
