On top is my Lab “moe” at the time of the pic he is 14 and very near the end of his time with us, he hated gun fire and lighting but was game for anything especially if it involved swimming, smart and loyal we’re his best quality’s. The other is a gyp cur mix that we kept to keep moe company after his brother passed a year earlier. Sadie is also an excellent companion and very protective of Moe, she is astonishingly fast and agile, can jump in my F150 with the tailgate up, when she figures out she can clear a 4’ chain link fence we’ll be in trouble. Unfortunately she is very animal aggressive especially when I’m close. But otherwise she is sweet and funny and loves to play with her toys, she is an excellent companion

RIP Kyota. Best damn Malamute I'll ever have, she loved going to the range, and packing out elk from the canyons. She lived to be a healthy 14 before an unexpected accident took her from me. I have 2 other Mals who absolutely hate guns, and would rather just lay at home then go anywhere. She was my first Malamute and we went through a couple rough patches in life, but we were always there for each other. She saved me in more ways than one. Kyota was special though.

We all need a bit of light relief just now. So post up pictures of the dogs that hang out at the ranges you shoot at.
This is Buster, who will escape and find his way to us every time we shoot at our range. Probably because I always have a treat or a bone for him. He looks mean like Pitties are supposed to but he is soft as a brush..

Cooper! Hangs out in the backyard when we shoot pistols, but really, is a pheasant machine.

I have had a number of dogs. I love them like family. I don't think I'd ever take them to a shooting range. I can't imagine that being continually exposed to loud noises like that wouldn't cause premature deafness.

My Sophie is 15, a BC mix, and she can still hear a food wrapper being opened from across the house. Selective hearing, but still acute.
