Quite a few records have been set with 6BR at 1000 !the reason for me to get a BRX is to have the juice to get 105 class out to 1000! for that seems like i should use an 8T or mabie 7 1/2. what you say Ackleyman???
PS. my 6br will do it but i can definately see it losing steam past 600
true and that encourages me to see what i can do with mine, and another one im putting together, at 1000. I dont have plans getting any of the “improved “ variations at this point—- thanksQuite a few records have been set with 6BR at 1000 !
All I own are 6BRs and I totally agree with you on the variants . IMHO they are over rated .true and that encourages me to see what i can do with mine, and another one im putting together, at 1000. I dont have plans getting any of the “improved “ variations at this point—- thanks

Did you ever say what you wanted to use the rifle for? For strictly accuracy BR type shooting I always had great luck with N-135 and 65-68gr FB bullets. Recently been more interested in varmints and ended up with TAC and 65 V-Max @ 3600+ from a 24" barrel. What is a good bullet weight for a 6BR with a 1/14 twist?
Pay attention to this post if you are doing any competition at all. With a 14 twist, keep the bullet length under .825.
One particularly great bullet is the BIB 65 gr on the .790 J4 jacket.
Good shootin' -Al
My 6BR is 14 twist, 24” long. Zero freebore. This is for vamints. Likes 55 to 65 gra bullets, probably 70 TNT also but don’t remember trying them. Load development was all done back in 2004 and 2230 proved to be the best. The stuff can vary and production may differ. Chosen load is 2230 powder, 7-1/2 primer, 58Vmax. Accuracy nodes at 3708 (.250”) and 3855 (.200”) . I don’t mention powder charge because 2230 can vary and this was 20yrs ago, plus that 3855 is a hot load but fine in this rifle.I’m at 3150
