powder 1 dram vail

I got some 1 dram vials to carry pre measured powder in, that measure .580" diameter by 1.870" long and was wondering if these would fit in a wssm ammo box? Hoping someone might have a box that could measure what the individual squares measure.....Or have a suggestion on what to use? I tried to use search but wasn't satisfied with the vague suggestions lol....

What I ended up with are test tube holders for 16-18mm tubes. They are a 4-piece deal, with a perforated upper deck, a perforated second section, a dimpled base, and a sheet of silicone sandwiched between the latter two. Nice thing is when the vials are inserted, you can invert the thing and they stay put.

I did have to shorten the distance between the upper and lower deck in order to remove the vials easily; takes a little time with a utility knife to modify.

I plan on making a box to hold one or two of these along with a priming tool and funnel (the dies and press usually get tossed in my range box already.)

I seen those but was really hoping to just be able to find a ammo box they would fit in but.... I have a Bass Pro about 45min away so I guess I could take one with me and check fit, (if they even have the right ammo box in stock). I was just wanting to add one to a order I was getting ready to zap to the enternet......

Use a 45acp box. Too hard to get them out of a rifle box. If you buy good vials they come in a fitted styrofoam box thats perfect for transport

I ordered a wssm ammo box on the way hoping that will work. I would think the sqaures would measure the same as what DaleTN posted..... These vail's are glass and didnt come in a box but seem to be pretty nice and have screw on lids

I got mine from Discount Vials but they look just like the one's in the link above. I just ordered 25pcs. though because I didnt know if preloading the vails would be for me.... Just thought it would be easier when first working up a load from scratch....

Someone had a picture of these with 75gr of powder (8208 I think) and looked like was pretty full. I seen it on this forum but cant find it now lol...

I just carry mine in gallon size ziplock bags with the appropriate powder charge written on the bag. They pack easy this way.

28 Ga. Shot shell case. I had one for the 338LM.

Home Depot, buy some flat sheet foam. Drill holes and cut to fit any box you want.

28 Ga. Shot shell case. I had one for the 338LM.

I couldn't find a 28ga shotgun shell case but a 20ga was going to be next option if I couldnt find anything else..

my vials came in a box with dividers. For extras without a box - I also use a gallon ziploc bag.
