Source for bench rest stocks for Savage where you can actually get one?

Good luck trying to get thru to SSS. One Man shop so any time spent answering the phone is time away from actually doing any work.
Email and be patient.;)

And, FYI, Northland may have a stock? They do take downs and part outs?

I have two of SSS stocks and very happy with them. I know Fred Mario personally and he does very good work He is a one man work shop. He will work with you and you will have to tell him exactly what you want. Call Fred after 12 noon. Phone # 419 516 3031

You can get two inletteed Savage stocks for $700? Really?
I think we had this conversation before but they sure are missing
out on making a Revolution BR stock for the Savage guy's. Shelf
life of a take off Savage BR stock is 30 seconds or less.,,,,,With your
barrel business going, how about expanding by getting Revolution
blanks and inletting them yourself ?? Just talking out loud as usual ??

The quote was $1000 and yes back then you could get 2 mcmillan br stocks fully inletted for that- or at least i could. Sold one on here around that time. View attachment 1333596

If you can get completely inletteed, finished Savage stocks from McMillan for $500 for 2 units, put me down for 2 dozen.

Last time I bought a composite unfinished blank it was $600 and that was 15 years ago.

Retail is $675 now- covid and supply chain issues you know.
And like i said it was $1000 for 2 units

I was wishing the KRG Bravo was offered for the Savage. I have one stock from SSS (2011 timeframe) and really like it. I too just didn’t want to wait so long for another one.

yes I love that stock, all I can afford is a Choate tacticool, but I like it I put a 4 inch bagrider in front set for torque, it works, it's kinda long

No one mentioned boyd's stocks.

I have 2 of the AT-one stocks and they are OK.

You must piller and bed the actions for best results.

From personal experience I can say that
Janet Rayhill will make you a good stock in a reasonable time frame.

Being a p/dog shooter....these Choate Varminters trips my trigger

Some shooters like 'em...others don't

Big/heavy & clumbsy ? Nah....Fully bedded V block molded in stock

Shown here is 9 twist 223 AI set up with target Savage action & P-N 28" barrel

Grip cavity allows for one pound of lead shot to be added...18# with scope mounted

I picked one up at auction for 50 bucks. I use it just for a fire
forming rig. It is fugly to say the least and has a nasty odor to it ??
Pulled the pistol grip cap and filled it with #8 shot. Stock is a
