Just a heads up if you're not already aware. If you don't have the latest versions, the Public and Patreon versions will cease to work after June 1, 2022.

As I understand it there are now software patches on the website to fix this. Also the download page now has the Patreon version rather than the public version and (again, as I understand it) the Patreon version you can now download has the software patch and will work until 2046 or 2048.

Update now or forever loose your stored data. There's info. on this in the GRT Discord server and also on the GRT web site.

It's Gordon's Reloading Tool. A free reloading program akin to Quickload. Sadly the guy who runs it has passed away.

All I can say is that I bought 2 different reloading data deals on the web. today both are tits up. Pencil and paper never failed me.

I've used different software tools and ballistics calculators over the years and they have helped me learn a lot about what should happen. That said, nothing beats getting out and shooting your loads to see what really happens in the real world.

They updated the expiration year after Gordon's death. Access to the code and development pieces is the easy part. You have to find someone sufficiently knowledgeable who's looking to carry the project.

I am not using GRT but am considering in because I am a Linux user.

I run GRT with Linux, just go to the website and make a log in account, then go to the download section and you will see an option for Linux. There are some hoops to go through for linux which they will outline but you probably already know command line stuff. I just updated a few weeks ago and I think they extended the usage till 2048 or some such thing but no updates as of yet.

Just popped over to the GRT site and there was a 15March update about new users and an email response problem. Otherwise, the update was done in early Feb 2022, and if you downloaded that update you should be 'good' until 2048. GRT still seems to be in some flux regarding support and such following Gordon's passing.
For those of you wondering what is going on, GRT is algorithm based load development software to help with fine tuning, wildcat development, and such. Probably not much use for many.

There is a continuation team in place and a new version is expected in 2024. GRT Labs will be back as well as the Patreon page, etc. I understand there will be new features and improved performance. Sounding good. PC, MAC, Linux versions
