I recently purchased a 1:9 22-250. I have the newest Sierra manual and it has data . I’m going to shoot a 69gr smk for sure and the 53gr vmax if it will stabilize. For the 69gr what is the powder of choice you guys is running these days and the speeds your getting ? I know ar comp was a big hit with the lighter bullets that no manuals listed years ago. Thanks guys

A powder that typically isn't thought of but will work well with both of those bullets is RL17.

If you can find any, good luck with that, the 60gr TMK would be another to try.

60 vmax at 3840 with Superformance, groups in the .3's, 27" Schnieder. I know, ugly flat based bullet, but it's spectacular on PD's. 69 TMK at 3480 with CFE-223, also in the low .3's. 53 vmax didn't group like I wanted but I didn't explore seating depth, will revisit when it warms up. Those were 3850 with 8208XBR, .4's with 1 out of five going an inch. I could get these to 4K with CFE-223 but at an unacceptable 1 MOA.

I talked to Sierra tech support a couple years back when I had a 9 twist 22-250. They said ignore the recommended twist rate on the 77SMK box because they'll shoot well. He was correct. Ran 77SMK and H4350. I don't recall the charge weight but velocity was a bit over 3100.
I run that same load thru my 7 twist 22-250 now.
