Corrected details - WA 10 Round magazine limit

Oh, I'm grandfathered. I just can't take them out of my home except to go to a licensed gun range, but then they have to be transported unloaded and in a locked container...

It looks like the bill is going to Inslee's desk. I'll be without my rights very, very
I’d imagine moving is not something you want to do, but Wyoming would welcome you and your mags. Magpul moved here.

I will not give up my rights. Ferguson and Inslee are welcome to come to my house and take them away from me. I'm an old man and they'll need to kill me to do it. Baring that I will wait for the SCOTUS to weigh in before I comply with people who are violating my rights under the Constitution. If the SCOTUS agrees with Inslee and Ferguson then I will move to a state that understands what the Constitution is.

P.S. If the SCOTUS agrees with Inslee and Ferguson then it is game over. It will only be a matter of time before the population of the US is disarmed. Or neutered to the point that the effect is the same as disarmament. At that point we will be outgunned by our employees, as in those on the public payroll who would hold a gun to our head in order to disarm us. At one point in our history we called those folks "law enforcement".

I'm glad I don't live in Washington. I could probably shingle my house with extended magazines... And I haven't kept receipts for dates of sale on them either.

What provisions are in place for use or pre-law possession of magazines greater than 10 rounds? Isn't declaring them illegal an ex post facto issue? I could do the research but I just get sick at the thought of digging through all of the artfully wrong premise and "data".

If you are wanting a 16" barrel, the Grendel is not a bad choice, but an ar10 would fit the bill too.
M1A or a garand can also reach 600 yds. It's a tough bill to fill for one range and to work up close with 10 rds. A 223 with 77s will carry to 600 yds and like someone else said, you may need to tape a couple mags together.

Fortunately I don’t live in a communist state so I don’t need to worry about this. But if my state ever banned the high capacity magazines or certain rifles, or suppressors there is no way I would give them up. I have plenty of hidey holes. That is just my thoughts, you do you.
I would suggest you get many spare mags under the limit for your weapons to handle your threat. Magazines are fast to change. Then think about getting vest to hold the magazines.

Here's the issue, if they try to ban possession of existing standard capacity magazines, that typically violates 4th amendment and has even been overturned here in CA. That is what led to "Freedom Week" when the ban of even possession of legally owned standard capacity magazines was put on hold, we had roughly 15 days we could buy standard capacity mags and many of us did. It is legal to possess, but illegal to buy/sell/transfer them in the state.

Perhaps it is best to defy authority until the ultimate authority renders judgement. That would be the SCOTUS.

Thanks everyone.

Incorrect bill details removed

I'm just looking for a stop-gap measure until SCOTUS overturns this mess. As much as I would love to move to another (free) state, I have my wife here who is not impressed with my never ending desire to leave Washington State. If I can find an equivalent job in Idaho, I think I'd be out of here in a blink.

For the inquirers, a 600 yard defensive shot is possible, just not very likely. Think about it a little, and I bet you can find some unlikely scenario where a longer shot might be needed. A little research might find you a case where a longer defensive shot was actually taken.

Even if there would be no need for such a long shot in self defense (or the defense of another), I don't want any rifle that can't go coyote hunting, or out blasting varmints at the very least; deer hunting capability would be a plus.

I'm torn a little on caliber. The data I'm seeing suggests that the 6.8 SPC might fit the bill with 120 gr pills. I think the 6.5 Grendel depends a bit on longer barrel lengths to obtain it's velocity. Since I'm looking for an indoor/outdoor lightweight pet, I think the Grendel is a non-starter. The other option is to obtain an AR10 platform and go big.

Anyone have experience with the S&W M&P 2.0 in 45? A full-size 9mm pistol doesn't make sense any more...

Does the new law require a minimum resolution for the picture? How about lighting requirements? Do you have to go the official state evil magazine photography station to have the picture taken? Do you have to serialize them and have the serials shown in the pic? How do they come up with this shit? Are they stoned? Oh wait, I may have just answered my own question.

I think we should all send Bob Ferguson pics of our mags next to our private parts. 10's of thousands of such pics. A constant stream running for months on end. Be sure to copy Jay Inslee as well. Make sure that Bobs face is photoshopped in.
