Solution to wasps in deer shacks!

Hey Deer Hunters, I built a Deer blind a few years ago and every year I had to d battle with Wasps at least 2x/season untill i found these! This is how they are listed on Amazon. After hanging one of these in shack, NO MORE WASPS!!!!71EQ36c0VHS._AC_SS450_.jpg

WOW!

Have to look into that. My tower is a nightmare of wasp nests. I climb up with cans of spray and pray I do not get hurt either falling down or spraying and getting stung. I am allergic and do carry a pen.

Bet you each hunting season I go through 3 large cans of spray and much drama killing those SOB's. AT times, even with the nests gone, some try to get in while I am in there. Then I have to bring along a fogger to get them out from attacking me while I am in there.

The last few years Ive had good luck spraying in my sheds before the nest are built.
I spray a ring around the top of the walls and it seems to be enough deterrent for them to build nest at someone else’s place.
Try spraying the upper corners your deer blind in may or June, just before they start nesting.
I’ve done the Indian dance before in a ground blind the first time out. I once got all seated early October and looked up and had a giant nest 8 inches from my face. Luckily it was cool enough that when they dropped out of nest, they couldn’t move very fast.

Not only in hard stands are they a problem, we have a number of ladder stands with shooting rails with camo cloth covers. Those nasty red wasps love to congregate in the folds of these covers. They are very hard to see and many times won't move until you are seated and arranging the cloth for concealment. I've bailed out and changed to ground hunting many times.

For enclosed box blinds I found leaving the shutters and windows open to be very helpful. Wasps like hot dark places, they don't like the light so much.

I've had a problem with them in my barn everywhere and I'm very allergic (anaphylaxis). I found that hanging moth balls in netting keeps them away. I hang two in one side of my barn and two more on the other side in the spring and I don't get one. They must really hate them.

When I was growing up and until I graduated high school, all we had was an outhouse for facilities. One time a red wasp hit me on the back of the neck, right on the spine. Never been hurt so bad since. Hate them.
Thanks for the info!!!! On order.

Exactly!

I also told a friend with a horse barn abo9ut these, he had a bad wasp roblem till he hung u a couple of these. I use them in sheds or any enclosed area. Works great in my garage also.

Get some suspend pesticide, mix it 1 oz to 1 gal water, spray the inside walls in the spring
FYI works good on the house too to prevent dirt dauber.
Works great! Takes care of the spiders too!

A red wasp got my dog on the nose this summer. Been dry enough that they had built right in the bottom mouth of a downspout - big nest. I used most of a can of spray on the nest and they were still coming to that place the next day. Sprayed them too.

I have had the best luck with plexiglass windows and painting the inside, even after several years I have very few bugs of any type.

Indoor foggers get them too. If you find a nest just push it on and set it in the enclosed blinds.
