Solution to wasps in deer shacks!

iuyqlb6sd5s31.jpg

This will definitely fix the problem.

Simple and cheap fix. Medicated Ear Tags for cattle. Simply hang one in blind- no wasps or yellow jackets.

happened to me with stand 4 foot off the ground.

I embraced it.... hung a game camera.
Had me an owl disaster at my lease near Guthrie TX. A family of White owls moved in to this very shaky tower blind and messed it up to the point we decided to tear it down, build it again.

Hey Deer Hunters, I built a Deer blind a few years ago and every year I had to d battle with Wasps at least 2x/season untill i found these! This is how they are listed on Amazon. After hanging one of these in shack, NO MORE WASPS!!!!View attachment 1284336

RESCUE! Wasp TrapStik — Also Traps Mud Daubers & Carpenter Bees - 2 Pack

I ordered me a couple of these. They look like they will work perfectly.

Brake cleaner
Brake Cleaner, Carb Cleaner both work as good or better than any wasp spray. I got stung my a hornet at my employer, and took two cans of either and a lighter and did my own flame thrower to kill all of the hornets in the nest. Customers in their cars were stopping to watch. The flames will never go back in a pressurized can, so it's "safe in my gun" as some here like to say. I am tired of getting stung, but so far not reactions. I grew up on a farm, and mud wasps were everywhere. I stood on a nest of bumble bees on a post pile and was stung over 50 times there. There were thistles all around it, and I thought I kept rubbing on them until I looked down! I am well over 100 wasp, hornet, honey bee and bumble bee stings in my 59 years.

Please explain! I don't do Fakebook and will never give that &*%$ a dime in advertisements. What do owl's do?

I have Russian Sage going up one side of my driveway. The carpenter bees love them. I saw the info on WaspTrap Stixs on here and bought one to try. After 2 days couple of bees. Not impressive. It was hanging vertical so I turned it horizontal as per the directions. Now 24 hrs later it black with bees. Tomorrow I am off for more. Thanks for the great information.

Well they built a nest out of the carpeted interior sticks and the padding of the chair along with piling 6 inches of owl poop all around said nest. The young were already off the nest but the grown owls were still using it.

Hung this in one of my tower stands in Georgia this past week. Now before going in to do this I had to kill wasps with spray and remove a nest. No more wasps in the two days after I hung this.

Will know more about how it works if the weather stays warm for when I go back in three weeks to hunt the rut.

I am going to try these in my club's rifle and pistol ranges and all the sporting clays stands when the weather begins to warm up next spring. We are having a lot of carpenter bee and wasp problems. Thanks for all the information guys.

Have to look into that. My tower is a nightmare of wasp nests. I climb up with cans of spray and pray I do not get hurt either falling down or spraying and getting stung. I am allergic and do carry a pen.

We use pest strips…they do a pretty good job but I don’t like being in the blind when they are new. So normally last weekend of the season I put one in and then refresh it no later than July/August. Once season hits I’m in it enough that I rarely will get any.

This past off season…I forgot the pest strips and in March I bet I had over a 1,000 moths in the dang thing. They aren’t near as bad but that first one coming out at ya is a little unnerving thinking it’s a wasp.
