22BR neck turning possible issue found for sticking cases?

I resized and neck turned about 125 pieces of Lapua brass for my 22BR. I have been getting a very random few "sticking" in the chamber after firing. These stuck cases would some times need a little rap on the bolt handle to free them. I started marking the sticky ones and did some checking and found that the necks are a little large still. I found this by running my fired brass through my neck turning tool and the "sticky" ones shaved off a little more brass and the normal ones just barely shaved off the soot. Could the slightly larger necks cause the sticking cases?
Load is not even close to max, 28.7 N-135

Light loads don't always fully expand necks.

For the neck turning test to be accurate, brass needs cleaned, sized, expanded, then turned.

Or measure loaded rounds outside neck diameter before firing. Are there fat ones that stick?

Have never noticed any being tight while chambering them, only some sticking while extracting. If not the necks then I have no idea why some are sticking??

So were you attempting to turn the necks to a specific dimension? If so, what dimension, and why? Do you have a reamer print?

Or were you just trying to knock off the high spots in your necks?

Regardless, a decent tube mic will likely answer your question.

I have a 223 with a tight chamber. Any time I find any brass sticking in the chamber after firing, it is a case base diameter issue. My neck is a tight no-turn neck. But with Lapua brass the clearance is so small, I turn the necks to increase clearance. This is on a Remington where the primary extraction is knows to be an issue.

Looking for "high spot" I possibly missed. Kinda grasping at straws to why only a random few stick. Looking for a .249 size.

Can we assume that this is new brass that has not been fired in another rifle?

Paul
Yes new batch of Lapua brass, so far I have only turned 100 of them and I will say it didn't go well for a few that hit the recycle bucket. I almost bailed and shipped the barrel off to open it up to a no-turn neck.
