6BRX LOAD DATA

Understanding that Bart's bullets are turning out the best accuracy and groups in the 6BRX for most, does anybody have other load data that is performing well ?

33.0 to 33.6 Varget 107 Sierra 205m been very good in over 20 barrels. Usually between touch and .011 in ( lands). Have had a couple that liked in quite a bit, .040 to .050. All 8t Bartlines and Krigers.

I'm having great success with 35.1gr H4350 (2945fps) and 108gr bergers, CCI 450s in my Krieger 1:7.5 twist HV 28inch barrel (best group with this load is 0.579 at 500m/547y)
But also have had great success with 32.6gr of varget (3000fps) and 105gr hybrids in same barrels as above (best group at 500m with this load was 0.847").
35.6gr of H4350 (3007fps) and 107gr Smk and same barrel as above (best group at 500m with this load was 1.06")
Get the right powder and projectiles and tune it right and the 6BRX will shoot awesome

I agree with you. The BRX is very accurate with the proper freebore and light bullets. However, shooting past 300 yds in normal switching winds anymore the heavier higher bc bullets is the way to go. This is from a guy who often competes at 500 yds with a PPC and has done well doing it.

My barrel is a 1 - 8 Tw. so I will probably shoot more of the heavies than the lighter weights. Namely the 107 gr. Sierra HPBT MK. Don't have any Bart's on hand and looks like it will be a few days on those.

Bill,
I have owned several brx rifles still do. With 103-107 weight bullets varget has been my best powder but have had good success with H4895 and rl15 but I hate how dirty 15 is. My Lawton has a 28” 1:8 Krieger I used 34.5 grains of Varget and 105 Berger’s CCI 450’s Lapua brass . My Bat I use 4895 in and a savage I shoot the 107 seirras with I think 32.4 grains of varget and 205 primers There of course all a little different but with the three powders I listed I prefer Varget and 4895 good luck

Varget and 102.5 Roy Hunter bullets have given me some really good accuracy using 450 primers. somewhere around .011-.013 jam and they really shoot small.
