I figured out it is cheaper for me to drive 3 hours for a will call than pay their hazmat!And I guess you have to add hazmat and shipping.

I really do not understand the different hazmat fees. As hazmat shipping is mandated by the Federal Government, Why don't all retailers charge the same fee. I have received as much as 48lbs of powder from Powder Valley, for one $19.95 fee. Midway gives a discount on fees from time to time, $9.95.

last I was told Bruno's is charging $84 hazmat and shipping. only cost me about $40 in gas for round trip!

I believe it works something like the shipper pays a once a year fee to be a hazmat shipper and then they get to charge whatever they want for their hazmat fee. There is no set charge, they don't even have to charge the fee it's all profit after they're recover their original buy in fee. I know there's more to it than that and maybe someone who ships hazmat will chime in.

Comes out to about $80 for the primers if you figure the $35 hazmat is included in that price. $45 for the dies and $7 for the shellholder.
